Why We Chose to Become a Strategic Partner with 1st In Products

It wasn’t a sales pitch or a planned collaboration. It was a cold call. The kind that could’ve gone nowhere. But this one didn’t. It turned into a conversation about craftsmanship, shared values, and a belief that details define performance. By the end of it, we knew we weren’t just talking to another vendor. We had found something familiar, a company whose DNA looked a lot like ours.

That company was 1st In Products. And that phone call was the start of a partnership that just made sense.
Kindred Spirits in Craftsmanship
If you’ve spent any time in the world of emergency vehicle upfitting, you know that not all equipment is created equal. The right gear doesn’t just fit; it functions flawlessly when everything’s on the line. That’s something we’ve always stood behind, quality isn’t optional when lives depend on it.
When we discovered 1st In Products, it felt like meeting an old friend who speaks the same language. Their story mirrors ours: American-made products, built by people who care about precision, quality, and how each detail serves a purpose. They specialize in custom cabinetry and consoles, the kind of high-quality, purpose-built interiors that transform vehicles into organized, mission-ready tools.

But what really caught our attention was how personal they make their process. Every cabinet, every drawer, every mount is designed around what the customer actually needs. No templates, no shortcuts, just craftsmanship. That’s exactly how we operate.

Upfitting is about more than lights and wiring; it’s about building tools for the people who protect and serve. By partnering with 1st In, we gained the ability to do that on a whole new level. Their cabinetry systems let us design for the way our customers actually work. They gave us a new tier of products, new possibilities that made us a true one-stop shop for agencies of every size.
When Innovation Meets Ingenuity
Spend five minutes around the 1st In Products team, and you’ll see what sets them apart. They think differently, not in theory but in design. Their cabinetry and consoles aren’t just boxes and panels. They’re engineered systems that adapt to the user. Their unique mounting methods and modular layouts let us install components in ways that make sense for each mission, each department, each crew. It’s creative, efficient, and strong. The kind of innovation we value most.
The Florence Police Department Project
Not long after the partnership began, we got a call from the City of Florence Police Department. They had a challenge, a perfect fit for our new collaboration with 1st In.

They needed a heavy-duty storage option that could still fit seamlessly inside a police vehicle, without compromising functionality or aesthetics, and it needed to be able to hold up to a 1,000-pounds on a pull-out tray, with two lockable storage compartments.

That’s not a small ask. But it’s exactly the kind of project that makes our work meaningful. We worked closely with 1st In’s engineers to bring the design to life. Their custom cabinetry expertise made it possible to deliver exactly what the department needed, strong, secure, and built to perform.
Built to Upfit
When we look back at that first phone call, we smile. It was the start of something that felt right from day one. Today, we can say with confidence that becoming a strategic partner for 1st In Products has strengthened not just what we build, but why we build it.

We share the same belief: that craftsmanship is an act of service. That when you build with care, precision, and purpose, it shows. And that’s what this partnership is all about, bringing two stories together to write a new chapter for the people who rely on us most. Because in this line of work, every screw, latch, and wire tells a story. And thanks to partners like 1st In, we’re proud to say ours is a story of performance, precision, and partnership, built one vehicle at a time.
